"We measure our success by the success of
our clients" says Steve Baker, President and Founder of Business Technology
Associates (BTA) in Austin, TX.
After spending several years as a CFO, IT Director, and Consultant,
Mr. Baker desired to build a team of consulting
professionals with technical expertise and
business management experience. His goal was to
help businesses without large IT departments
select and implement technical solutions
that improved their business performance. He recognized
that the appropriate software and networking infrastructure could
help businesses reduce operational expenditures
through the automaition of business processes.
With this vision, Mr. Baker borrowed $5000 on his
credit cards, bought a PC, turned his extra
bedroom into an office, and founded BTA in 1987.
